Hi, I just deployed two improvements to the rule editor at http://www.languagetool.org/ruleeditor/:
-If you use the standard mode, there's now a button at the end of the workflow that lets you continue in expert mode (XML rule editing) with the rule you just created. -The expert mode now has a Javascript based XML-editor with syntax highlighting (tested with Firefox and Chrome only). What's still problematic is that non-trivial rules easily lead to time-out errors. That's still on the TODO list.
