Thanks for reporting, I took the easy route and "fixed" this by changing 
the variable from \realDay to {realDay}. All XML files have been 
adapted.

I also added {day} to access the claimed day from the text. This can be 
used to get nicer error messages in case the day is abbreviated: "Thu, 
xxx is not a Thu, but a Tuesday" sounds strange.
