Does pressing the ESC key switch back to text mode? Has the system stopped waiting for console input from the user? In case switching back to text mode with the ESC key does not work: modify the grub boot entry and delete all splashimage, foreground, background lines, and remove the console=graphics kernel option. Boot the kernel in text mode using the modified grub boot entry. > I tired booting with intel-iommu=no, I tried booting with -s, nothing > changes it. I would also add a -v option to enable verbose kernel messages, to get some more information what is happening during boot.
