I'm not entirely sure that all bcm wifi cards can be replaced by Intel equivalents, but its almost always worth a try. (The reason some laptops might not support Intel replacements for bcm cards boils down to possible combinations of BIOS incompatibilities and inconsistent handling of a few extra pins on miniPCI cards -- particularly the ones commonly used for the kill switch and LEDs.) -- Garrett
