Check your /etc/driver_aliases pcic lines. How it is connected in that
box, who knows? OK, prtconf should know :-)

And one more thing, your NIC is not e1000g, I overlooked specification
(dual core notebook before Core Duo...), it is BCM4401-B0 100Base-TX
inside. Look at bfe driver here:
