The system should tune itself so to speak.  If you have something that
is not as responsive as you think it should be _Solaris Performance and
Tools_ is a good guidebook on trying to figure out whats going on.
There isn't a specific section about the GUI which is probably a
concern for "desktop usage" but I think the tools it gives you should
allow you to figure out where you issues are.
