Hi Brandorr, Thanks for your comments on Sun Device Detetion Tool. I am from Sun's HCTS (hardware certification) team, my team is working on SDDTool.
Sun Device Detection Tool will support Open Solaris device driver database, product team will make the schedule based on schedule of Open Solaris. Since 1.2 release (available on July. 2007), Sun Device Detection Tool enables customer submit HCL data back to Sun through http/https. However, the function is limited to Solaris X86 platform on official Solaris 10 and SXDE release. Product team is working on to implement the similar function on Linux and Window OS. Enable customer submit system information back to Sun as well.
