915resolution has been ported to Solaris, but I don't know if the port was
ever published.   Long term, Intel is working on merging that functionality
into their Xorg driver, but that's still under development.

By default, the system just uses your computers built in beep.   When in
X, you can configure it to use the audio device instead, allowing you to
adjust the volume and pitch of the beeps.   With Xsun, add "-audiobell"
on the Xsun commandline; with Xorg, add this to the keyboard section of
your xorg.conf:
        Option "BellDevice" "/dev/audio"
