Dana, I'll paste in the contents of /var/adm/messages for the most recent boot with the IBM (Lenovo) T43p notebook in the docking station. The docking station has a 5400 RPM 80 GB disk installed in the slot that can take a hard disk in an adapter or a CD/DVD drive. If no drive is plugged in, I do not get the timeout errors. If a drive is plugged in, I get timeout errors and the disk indicator on the notebook and the hard disk adapter for the slot in the dock are on continuously.
