I am using inetmenu to set my network. When I run it as a user, using pfexec, and select the bcmndis0 interface, the systems hangs. If I run it while using truss as root to trace the action, it sometimes hangs and sometimes works. If I run it as root, it sometimes hangs, sometimes not. If I specify the interface I want on the command line as a user, then it sometimes hangs, sometimes not.
I have a crash dump, but I have no idea how to diagnose the problem from it. Since the problem is a hard hang, I have to interrupt using the power button and force the dump there, so the kernel stack is always the power interrupt routine calling the panic routine. I have not idea how to figure what was going on when I pressed the button. Any ideas? Oh, and by the way, I had no problems with this for the first few months, until I BFU'd about a month and a half ago. Brian Utterback
