Hello,

I'm trying to get my wifi to work and things are acting a little weird. Here's
the situation:

I've just installed Solaris 10 1 06. I've installed my network card and I'm
getting it to work...as long as I'm connecting to an open network. i.e., no
wep. This is what I do and what happens:

# ifconfig iwi0 plumb
# ifconfig iwi0 dhcp

# ping www.google.ca
# www.google.ca is alive

BANG, works like a dream. I can surf, I can ping, trace, etc.

now, I enable wep on my router and this is what I do:

# ifconfig iwi0 unplumb
# wificonfig createprofile myhome essid=my\;wireless;\network encryption=wep
   wepkey1=1234567890
# ifconfig iwi0 plumb
# wificonfig -i iwi0 connect myhome

and I get the message:
# wificonfig: Open iwi0 failed.

Any help with this would be greatly appreciated. Please let me know if you
need any more information.

Thanks,
James
