I recently upgraded my Dell 810 to snv_36 from build 20 so that I could upgrade to the latest versions of inetmenu, wificonfig and the iwi drivers. I have them installed and can connect to my neighbor's unsecured network quite easily but I try and run wificonfig -i iwi0 autoconf
I get the following: wificonfig: Err ioctl call: Not owner wificonfig: Err ioctl call: Not owner wificonfig: autoconf: No WLANs defined by the profiles in the preference list ar available. I am sure that the ioctl error is a permissions thing but I am not sure what. I get the same message even when executing the command as root. Any ideas where to look?
