well after hosing my JDS trying to install vermillion_43 i decided that instead of trying to fix the libssl problems i downloaded and installed Solaris Express 06/06. big mistake! my netgear 511T pcmcia card which was working fine under snv_38 (05/06) and my nightly built and bfu'd 20060619 (snv_41 i think) now is nonfunctional!
now when i do a 'ifconfig ath0 plumb' it hardlocks my machine. the only way out is to hold the power button until it shuts off! this happens with a fresh install of sol express 06/06 DVD and the most recent cardbus driver from the opensolaris website-- the card has no flashing lights until you install the cardbus driver. the atheros driver i was using was both the one that came with 06/06 and the one from opensolaris.org (v.3 i think is the latest up there). so now i gotta go find my snv_38 DVD, re-install, do a bfu to 41 or whatever the current ON build is and hope i can get wireless working again...
