So my router supports 2 wireless networks, the same antenna. My laptop is in
the same room. But I only see one of these networks and a neighbors. I can
connect to one of my networks, the one that does not show up, then when I run
scan-wifi again, I see this network and my neighbors.

At the same time my I-pod touch can see anywhere between 3 and 7 networks.
