I have installed a WG311v2 54 Mbps Wireless-G PCI Adapter (supported as per
this source code URL) in a Sun Ultra 20 running OpenSolaris build 111a. I got
the malo 1.4 firmware from the internet (malo-firmware-1.4.tgz -- could not
find any links to older firmware) and was able to compile (make all) and add
the driver.
#add_drv -i '"pci1385,4c00"' malo
However, the next steps (ifconfig and dladm don't seem to work).
#ifconfig malo0 plumb
ifconfig: cannot open link "malo0": Unknown error
#dladm scan-wifi
dladm: cannot scan link 'malo0': operation failed
# dladm show-wifi
LINK STATUS ESSID SEC STRENGTH MODE
SPEED
malo0 disconnected -- -- -- -- --
The dmesg output has a few warnings --
