Reading between the lines, I think you're trying to install OpenSolaris on just 
one FDISK partition instead of the whole disk.  If you want to install on just 
part of the disk, I would use some partition manager (such as gparted) and 
setup a Solaris partition first, then run the installer.

You should use OpenSolaris 2008-11 instead of 2008-05, unless there's a good 
reason not to use the latest stuff.
