I tried reinstalling without the downloaded patch--as it got rid of my applet. Turning off wireless encryption seems to do the trick. I've tried WPA Personal, WPA2 Personal, and WEP. The WPAs just sit there and keep trying to reconnect. Using WEP on my router, the network manager keeps asking me for my password. Right now all I have turned on is mac address filtering, but I would eventually like to enable some security on my router and join encrypted networks when I leave the house. Also, is there a 3rd party driver for the Marvell ethernet card available somewhere? Thanks.
