Hi there, I have downloaded the bog standard opensolaris single cd distribution
(latest one) for my Sony Vaio VGN-SZ1XP/C and the drivers utility on the live
CD install told me that my Marvell Yukon 88E8036 NIC driver was missing, so I
searched on this site and found exactly where to download them, followed the
instructions and im getting a small problem

I install the package SKGEsol

it asks me to configure an ip for the interface, which i do, then it says this

devfsadm: driver failed to attach: skge
Warning: Driver (skge) successfully added to system but failed to attach
Installation of <SKGEsol> partially failed

So then i tried to plumb it (as expected it didnt work)

ifconfig skge0 plumb
ifconfig: cannot open link "skge0": DLPI link does not exist

does anybody have any ideas what I need to do here, im stumped .... everyone
else seems to be getting success with these drivers

do i need to get the full 2.5 gb solaris express developers edition for it to
work ?

any help would be greatly appreciated
