Greetings all (again),
I've just tested a different machine:
SunOS vinton 5.11 snv_86 i86pc i386 i86pc
that's using a malo driver:
malo0: flags=201000843<UP,BROADCAST,RUNNING,MULTICAST,IPv4,CoS> mtu 1500
index 2
inet 192.168.0.8 netmask ffffff00 broadcast 192.168.0.255
and it's also throwing incorrect checksums for both TCP and UDP frames
according to WireShark.
Can someone enlighten me as to what's going on?
Thanks in advance,
Steve.
-------- Original Message --------
Greetings,
I'm using an Avaya PCMCIA NIC on my laptop with the pcwl driver.
When I observe network traffic using WireShark 1.0.1, it shows all of my
TCP and UDP packets have incorrect checksums with a message stating:
maybe caused by "TCP checksum offload?"
&
maybe caused by "UDP checksum offload?"
I have observed this happening to my DNS, NFS (TCP and UDP), IMAP, HTTP,
etc. Basically, anything that carries a checksum.
My NIC is configured as follows:
pcwl0: flags=1000843<UP,BROADCAST,RUNNING,MULTICAST,IPv4> mtu 1500 index 2
inet 192.168.0.5 netmask ffffff00 broadcast 192.168.0.255
Any Ideas?
Any help would be greatly appreciated!
TIA,
Steve
