I wrote a small java program to view all my interfaces associated with some detailed informations about each one of them , the problem is the program show my IP address instead of my real hostname , I post the program in the java sun forum and the code seems to be fine. one of the replies said that my be your hostname is not available in your DNS server ??? . is there any one know what is that mean or is there anything I can do to check if that is true ?? .
