I downloaded 2008.05 and have it running quite nicely on a Dell Latitude D820.
I like the look and feel of the system over all; it feels solid (if a little
slow on some things). A couple of questions though.

1) My laptop has an Intel 3945ABG wireless card which the OS recognizes
automatically and helps me connect to the network. However about every 5
minutes I get an error message that wpi0 is taken down and then, about 30 later
wpi0 comes up again. Very annoying. Is there a fix for this or is this just
evidence the system is still under heavy development?

2) Selecting shutdown or log out from the menu has no effect. To shut the
system down I must power off. Is there a way to fix that behavior?

3) The system will not suspend to RAM properly. Rather, it suspends to RAM
but will not wake up. What settings do I need to be looking to tweak to make
suspend and resume work?

4) When I boot the system in its docking station with an external monitor
attached, the system does not recognize or use the external monitor? How can I
make the system detect I have an external monitor attached and use the monitor
as primary?

I realize OS is very early in its development and would really like to
congratulate the development team for a very solid effort. Problems with
wireless networking, suspend/resume, and external monitors have plagued Linux
for years and in most cases are still not working right ( I tried Ubuntu 8.05
the other day on the same equipment and got suspend/resume errors and can't use
my external monitor). OS has an opportunity to steal a march on Linux by being
very laptop friendly.
