Hi

I'm using OpenSolaris 2008.05 for the first day on my laptop (with a western
digital sata disk), it seems very cool, but I've a problem, my hard disk makes
littles "click" sound. I had this problem with linux and all I had to do was:
hdparm -B 254 /dev/sda to disable the power management of the disk. But I don't
know how to do that in OpenSolaris

Each time it's make the "click" sound, it's add +1 to the Load_Cycle_Count, and
once it's reachs something like 300 000, the disk is dead. On Linux it was
making something like 3 cycle / day, and with opensolaris, it's something like
15 cycle / minutes !!!

I tried to use smartctl -s off /dev/rdsk/c5d0s0 to disable the SMART
system on the drive, but it replies me:

#######################################################################
ATA command routine ata_command_interface() NOT IMPLEMENTED under Solaris.
Please contact smartmontools-support at lists.sourceforge.net if
you want to help in porting smartmontools to Solaris.
#######################################################################

Smartctl: Device Read Identity Failed (not an ATA/ATAPI device)

A mandatory SMART command failed: exiting. To continue, add one or more '-T
permissive' options.

Thank you to help me
