I have a Netgear Rangemax DG834PN router that implements a mode called "WPA-PSK
+ WPA2-PSK" - some sort of supposed dual capability. When I looked at my stable
Vista Desktop, it said it was running with AES encryption (I never really paid
attention before).

Switching the router to "WPA-PSK only" mode resulted in Vista booting with TKIP
security.

I switched nwam back on in opensolaris, cleaned up and rebooted but still got
the same problems (iwi0 up and down like a yo yo as before)

I'll keep trying.... I'm sure it is possible from what I have read.

Just one obscure point: when booting the console comes up with an obscure
message about not having a /dev/random cryptoadm provider, would this have any
effect?

Thanks, Howard
