I have the exact same problem -> Dell XPS m1530 James wrote: > This is a problem which is known about. I've been in touch with Masa and am trying to re-compile the driver with additional options but I can't get it to work. Simply: - if I compile the driver as extracted from the zip file it compiles ok - if I modify the Makefile.config file (gld2 or gld3) I get the error below - as a further test, if extract the files and then simply 'touch' the Makefile.config file I also get the same error as below: # /usr/ccs/bin/make gcc -c -O3 -D__INLINE__=inline -DGEM_GCC_RUNTIME -ffreestanding -U_NO_LONGLONG -D_KERNEL -U_ASM_INLINES -D_SYSCALL32 -D_SYSCALL32_IMPL -Dsun -D__sun -D__SVR4 -DC2_AUDIT -Wall -Wno-unknown-pragmas -Wno-missing-braces -Wno-sign-compare -Wno-parentheses -Wno-uninitialized -Wno-implicit-function-declaration -Wno-unused -Wno-trigraphs -Wno-char-subscripts -Wno-switch -Wno-format -Werror -Di86pc -UDEBUG -UDEBUG_LEVEL -UGEM_DEBUG_LEVEL -DGEM_CONFIG_POLLING -UGEM_CONFIG_GLDv3 -UGEM_CONFIG_CKSUM_OFFLOAD -UGEM_CONFIG_ND -USOLARIS10 -Unotdef -UNEVER -UGEM_GCC_RUNTIME -URX_FLOW_CONTROL -UGEM_COMPAT -USANITY -UGEM_CONFIG_FMA -UMODULE -UGEM_CONFIG_RX_DIRECT -DGEM_CONFIG_TX_DIRECT -UOS_PUTBACK -UCONFIG_OO -DVERSION='"2.6.0"' myk_gem.c -o i386/myk_gem.o sh: gcc: not found *** Error code 1 make: Fatal error: Command failed for target `i386/myk_gem.o' # A real noob question - what do I need to do differently?
