Does anyone out there have a laptop that suspends and resumes under either
Nevada or OpenSolaris 5.2008? Can anyone share a working configuration?

I've tried to get any sort of suspend working on both a Thinkpad T60p (Core 2
Duo) and a older Sager (Centrino). Both have ATI cards, neither will suspend on
any OpenSolaris, b85, b87, b87 with a recent bfu (saw there was new HAL stuff
in 90) or under OpenSolaris 5.2008. I've used both the VESA and the ATI driver.

It appears that it attempts to suspend, only to immediately resume, reporting
that the OS couldn't turn off display0.

I've tried everything short of getting a new laptop. Installed all the GPM/new
HAL prototypes; enabled S3 support and read many MANY posts about ACPI. I
installed frkit onto the Sager, only to completely hose my USB drivers.

The ThinkPad works great under Linux with the binary ATI driver. I'm now
doubting that this works at all on Solaris. I am considering just replacing the
laptop, either with a ThinkPad T61p or a MacBook Pro just to try an NVidia
card. If you use Solaris on either of those, please post your results and
configuration!

Thanks!
