Hi All,

I'm running build 86 on my laptop. Works like a charm. However, since
build 46 (!), every second or third shutdown results in a page
fault just when the machine should switch off and dumps the kernel.

I've posted before about this, but no-one ever commented on the issue.
I've set my BIOS to ask for a password, because otherwise the machine
will reboot and then start the normal booting process again. It's quite
a nuisance.

If this is the wrong list to post on, I'd be happy to be referred
elsewhere. I just consider this a major issue, one would expect a
machine to shutdown cleanly.

I've searched the online forum archives and found several other people
experiencing this kind of thing and their posts never saw follow-ups
either.

Thanks for any help, much obliged,

Hakim
