hi Ben by coincidence, i was working on 1211b support over the holidays too! (i ordered a 1211b card by accident). the card (a Linksys WUSBF54GC, usb13b1,24) was working fine till i dropped it :-). it would scan, connect and traffic would flow fine for an unencrypted WLAN (it worked with NWAM too). however there were two issues - sometimes during boot i'd see:
WARNING: zyd_usb_init: failed to set configuration 1, error -1 ..and on boots where this occurred, Solaris would hang and no login prompt would appear. i started tracking this down before i dropped the card. (the workaround is to plug the device in later on in boot). the other problem is i was seeing panics when i'd boot in 64-bit mode (it worked fine in 32-bit mode). i wonder if these are problems specific to the 1211b, or have they been seen with 1211-based cards too? anyway it sounds like you're at the same place or further with your changes, but in case you'd like to take a look at the changes i made, let me know. on that note, i think adding 1211B support, WEP, WPA encryption and supporting additional speeds to zyd would make a great OpenSolaris project. thanks! alan This message posted from opensolaris.org
