I had the same problem on a Dell Latitude D630 (same hardware...). I tried with acpi-user-options but system hungup, so I tried to boot in 32bit mode. Surprise, all works fine!!!
The problem is on the 64 bit kernel mode. Just for curiosity: openSolaris (Nexenta) work fine in 64 both and 32 bit mode... Hi Mauro This message posted from opensolaris.org
