Tirthankar, I have the same HD audio controller in my Sony SZ330P. I had exactly the same results with the OSS drivers on Build 72. I found that ossctl was unable to write out the /usr/lib/oss/etc/dspdevs.map file that will allow you to reorder the priority of the sound devices, so I was never able to set pcm3 as the prefered device.
Build73 will fix that for you, and if you have any problems with ACPI support those may be fixed too, as both of those were fixed for me in Build 73. -Tim Tirthankar wrote: > Hi, > > I have a Intel 82801G (ICH7 Family) High Definition Audio > Controller.
