Broadcom is a bad situation on any non-Windows platform, and a lot of us have to deal with it by use of less than par solutions, like NDIS. That is of course until we discover Atheros, WaveLan, and Intel, which are the best supported wifi chipsets on all platforms, including OpenSolaris/S10. I'm not sure the progress of USB wifi support though, for there are a number of adapters with the above chipsets available in USB form. Maybe someone here can tell me how well USB wifi adapters are supported, because some users don't have PCMCIA, Mini-PCI, or ExpressCard slots, and USB is the only option.
