I have a gateway laptop with Solaris ver. 5.11 and an intel pro/wireless 2100
card. The wireless networking stopped working and so I tried un-installing and
re-installing the SUNWipw package. I originally had the 0.2 version but
installed the 0.5 version. The pkg installed but when I tried plumbing the
interface I got an error that the ipw0 interface did not exist. I went into the
/dev directory and the ipw and ipw0 links were broken so I removed them and
rebooted thinking they might come back and the driver would attach. They
didn't, so I removed the package and added it again. The driver loaded but
didn't attach because the interfaces were still missing. I'm not sure what to
do next. Any help would be greatly appreciated. I'm kinda new to Solaris and
Unix in general. Thank you for your time.
