Someone told me it had 512m, but in preparing to run out and buy more I checked it myself, and it says 1Gig.
Using Dan Mick's helpful summary, I turned on module debug output. I see it hang after these lines: load 'sys/portfs' id 129 loaded @ 0xf96da000/0xd46deea4 size 18104/144 installing portfs, module id 129. I looked for any unused on-board devices to disable in the BIOS, but I didn't find any. The onboard wireless is switched off using an external toggle switch. I tried turning off the onboard LAN as well, but that didn't help either.
