Hi,

Looking for some help getting my Belkin F5D7010 wireless card to work in
Solaris 10 on my laptop. From my windows XP config, the card uses the
Ralink RT2500 chipset and I followed the instructions at
http://opensolaris.org/os/community/laptop/wireless/ral/
<mailto:laptop%20dash%20discuss%20at%20opensolaris%20dot%20org>

to download and install the driver. The driver seems to have installed
ok and you can plumb it:-

# ifconfig -a
lo0: flags=2001000849<UP,LOOPBACK,RUNNING,MULTICAST,IPv4,VIRTUAL> mtu
8232 index 1
        inet 127.0.0.1 netmask ff000000
vfe0: flags=1004843<UP,BROADCAST,RUNNING,MULTICAST,DHCP,IPv4> mtu 1500
index 2
        inet 192.168.0.106 netmask ffffff00 broadcast 192.168.0.255
        ether 0:3:25:14:ac:37
ral0: flags=1000842<BROADCAST,RUNNING,MULTICAST,IPv4> mtu 1500 index 3
        inet 0.0.0.0 netmask 0
        ether 0:11:50:8f:a6:ed
# ifconfig ral0 dhcp
ifconfig: ral0: wait timed out, operation still pending...
#

However, no led's light on the card and I can't get dhcp to work. I also
installed the wificonfig utility from
http://opensolaris.org/os/community/laptop/wireless/wificonfig/ but when
I do a scan no network is found but I believe this is because my
wireless card doesn't seem to be active(wireless functionality through
windows works ok).

/var/adm/messages output from removal/refitting of card
