Thanks for your ideas and kindness, Garrett, Cecilia, and Christian.
I have successfully removed the driver with rem_drv. Maybe now my system
will be stable. (It crashed spontaneously a couple of hours after I issued
the ill-fated add_drv command.)
I have asked Vincent and Zhang about the driver they are working on.
