I've been trying to get wireless working on an HP Compaq nx6125 laptop. I'm trying this on SXCR b44.
scanpci reports this on it: pci bus 0x0002 cardnum 0x02 function 0x00: vendor 0x14e4 device 0x4319 Broadcom Corporation Dell Wireless 1470 DualBand WLAN I've been able to get 32 bit drivers to load using ndis and plumb an interface with ifconfig, but that is the farthest I've gotten. Doing a 'wificonfig -i bcmnis0 scan' doesn't find any of the wireless networks that it should. For example, when using drivers from ftp://ftp.hp.com/pub/softpaq/sp30001-30500/SP30379.exe these syslog errors show up when doing an 'ifconfig bcmndis0 plumb': bcmndis: [ID 446631 kern.notice] ndis_gld_ioctl: cmd 0xc0786981 bcmndis: [ID 975483 kern.notice] ndis_gld_ioctl: unknown cmd 0xc0786981 bcmndis: [ID 446631 kern.notice] ndis_gld_ioctl: cmd 0x40586993 bcmndis: [ID 975483 kern.notice] ndis_gld_ioctl: unknown cmd 0x40586993 And this last unknown cmd happens 2 more times when doing and 'ifconfig -a'. The same two unknown cmd errors happen with a couple other drivers I tried for the Broadcom 4319. Had anybody been able to get this chipset working on SX or know a workaround? Any other suggestions or ideas? Ben This message posted from opensolaris.org
