Hello!

Yesterday, I installed ipw driver on my Thinkpad R50 laptop running SX
10/05. Everything worked fine. However, today I experienced strange
behavior. The card manages to connect to a wireless network (wificonfig
says connected, reports signal level medium/strong), but when trying to
obtain the dhcp lease, it sends packets which seem malformed. I've
captured these broadcast packets on another machine and they are
obviously invalid. I've attached one such packet to this mail. Note
that not only is it shorter than it should be, it also has Ether Type of
0x0600, and it should be 0x0800.

That packet should have been a DHCP discovery request. This packet,
when captured on the laptop which sent it, looks fine. So, this
definitely looks like it has something to do with the driver level
functionality.

The hostname is vega, and that is what is the last thing visible in the
dump.

P.S. I've just found out that it works with my DLink AP at home, but
the problem occurs with (I think) Planet's AP at work.
