Team,
Just burnt 2008.11 iso and installed on hp pavillion dv9700 with 2 hard
disks.
device detection found no errors.
installation went fine until 99% but hung thereafter. After tweaking the
eject button on the dvd drive, it showed finished successful message. (there
was a disk label error at the end)
during the live image boot, wireless / nwam ran without any problems. post
intall, I have 2 basic issues.
1. after post install boot, nwam keeps asking for security key and keep
saying dhcp not responding. i know the keys are right because it worked on
the live image and it works on the windows machine. I did notice that the
MAC address is different (last character). Overwriting the same has no
effect. I know the mac address from the admin web site of the router.
2. i was trying to add the second hard disk as a mirror but getting this
error.
zpool attach -f rpool mirror c4t2d0
cannot label 'c4t2d0': EFI labeled devices are not supported on root pools.
pls help!
the 2 disks are
format

Adding the device using zpool add without mirrors also spits out the same
error.
