Hey guys. This weekend, uh before I saw this thread :-), I purchased this very same adapter. And I'm seeing the very same thing:
* using WPA (not WPA2) * ifconfig rum0 plumb works * dladm connect-wifi connects (in theory) * dladm show-wifi reports alternating (every few seconds) states of being connected and disconnected * can connect and maintain a reliable connection using linux on the same boxes This is also what I was (and still am) seeing with my onboard rum-compatible adapter a few weeks or so ago. I can reproduce this with 2008.05, 2008.11 (build 93), and... > Please upgrade to snv_94 or later version, then try again. ... 2008.11 (upgraded to build 94) as well. Assuming this is not merely a case of user error, which admittedly might be a dangerous assumption.... ;-) Can anyone recommend a USB wifi adapter which you have personally verified to work with WPA in OpenSolaris? Thanks and take care. --Joanie -------------------------- > > I am using Linksys WUSB54GC usb adaptor for connection to my > > Linksys router. > > After installing the rum driver, I could ifconfig rum0 plumb and > > dladm connect-wifi successfully.
