Hi all,

I am sorry for posting this message here as well as in osol-help, but I really
need some help
on this one, any directions pointers are welcome.

I'm running nevada build91 on my laptop (Acer Aspire 5050) ,
I earlier had b66, ever since I've updated I find
that the network connection with my isp seems to be rather slow on solaris b91;
I dual boot with linux and on linux I get the correctly advertised speed; and
the
difference in speed is not of say +/-10 kind of thing. My connection is a 2Mbps
connection; on linux I manage to get about 1.6 - 1.8Mbps depending upon time of
day etc, but on solaris its just 101kbps. [ I live in India so..2Mbps is luxury
:-) ].
I am not sure what is the reason for this, and why did it start after upgrade
to b91. And there are some more interesting bits to this, during the upgrade
(while on term,
with cd1 (of the 6 cd set) the connection speed on the link is fine, but after
first reboot
with cd2 ..onwards.. the connection speed goes down drastically. Interestingly
if I boot
into solaris xVM the speed is fine, but if I boot into solaris regular , my
connection speed
goes down to a trickle.

Please let me know where should I start looking, and possibly if someone has
encountered
this/similar issue in the past.

Regards,
Shishir
