Hi there,
I have an ACER Aspire 5633 I installed Solaris from the DVD iso by
adding in the boot commands:
,acpi-user-options=0x8

Otherwise it doesn't boot. After the installation finished
successfully I added that in the /boot/grub/menu.lst as well. The
problem is that although it boots, it turns my WiFi wmi driver off.
The Led in my laptop turns off, while usually it should be on during
boot. This way I cannot enjoy my wireless connection. Any ideas?

BIOS update ( I know that ACER has buggy BIOS in most of its laptops)
is out of the question. ACER hasn't updated the BIOS for long time for
that model.

Ideas ...
