Thanks to all those who responded with a suggestion. I now have my Tecra M2 connecting wirelessly.
Here is what I did: * pkgrm existing SUNWatheros package * Manually deleted "ath" entry from /etc/driver_aliases <==== KEY STEP. * downloaded and installed ath-0.5 * used ifconfig and wificonfig to configure my interface and connection. HTH This message posted from opensolaris.org
