I am unable to connect to it (even > automagic can't connect to it!!). It shows the error > "...malo0: operation not permitted". malo-0.1 does't support WPA, one of the reasons is that it was ported from OpenBSD, but OpenBSD doesn't support WPA. Good news is that we will have some wpad/net802.11 enhancement in the near future, so that WPA/WPA2 feature can be supported by malo driver too, but I can't give exact time frame by now.
Root cause of above error message should be the same with the one found with ipw/iwi driver, please refer to another thread: http://www.opensolaris.org/jive/thread.jspa?messageID=164362𨈊 > > Does Solaris provide support for WPA2 security? > AFAIK, this feature has been integrated since build64. > What can be the reason and solution? You need to add driver name "malo" in "/etc/inetmenu/WIRELESS***" configure file, in which "ath","bcmndis"... have been added. - Michael > > Thanks and regards, > Viny > > > This message posted from opensolaris.org > _______________________________________________ > laptop-discuss mailing list > laptop-discuss at opensolaris.org
