As far as know, the wpi driver for 3945 chipset don't support ad-hoc mode at
the moment.

Thanks,

Subject: [laptop-discuss] connecting solaris to windows ad hoc network

Hi,
I created a Windows ad-hoc network on my friend's desktop so that I can share
his Internet connection.

My Laptop uses Intel 3945 chipset Wlan card (wpi driver). I am using SXCE
build75. tried both dladm and wificonfig but it did not even detect the ad-hoc
network :(

Is ad-hoc supported on this chipset/driver or can there be any other issue?

Any kind of help will be great...

Regards,
Vineet
