FWIW, I've worked recently with Iain Hibbert on integration of a Bluetooth stack for NetBSD. It would surely be nice to have this for OpenSolaris, but also recognize Bluetooth is a "big project", and isn't something just done trivially. By comparision, higher resolution framebuffer support is "trivial". :-) It wouldn't be hard to write a VESA-based framebuffer for OpenSolaris, but there are some cards that can't do VESA properly. (There are other challenges too, like adding i2c ddc2 monitor detection to automatically figure the best monitor resolution. I've been involved with this too, again as part of the NetBSD project where I wrote a framebuffer driver for Radeon graphics parts.) -- Garrett D'Amore, Principal Software Engineer Tadpole Computer / Computing Technologies Division, General Dynamics C4 Systems http://www.tadpolecomputer.com/ Phone: 951 325-2134 Fax: 951 325-2191
