Hi Sushant Taneja,
You can fix the issue mainly at grub prompt.
When the laptop boots, press key `c' at the grub menu. You can then
identify the partition of you linux at the grub command-line. Like this:
grub>
Then type ``root (hd<TAB>'', like this:
grub> root (hd<TAB>
Here ``<TAB>'' means pressing the <Tab> key, it will show you the
possible completion for your laptop. For example, your linux is at the
second partition, then the output would be sth like:
grub> root (hd0,1)
Then type ``chainloader +1<RET>boot<RET'', like this:
grub> chaingloader +1
grub> boot
If these commands suffice your needs, put them
into /rpool/boot/grub/menu.lst to make linux appear on the grub menu.
#------------- example linux section in Opensolaris' grub -----------
title linux
root (hd0,1)
chainloader +1
boot

Crisson
