here are the problems:
henry at delljm:~$ last|more
henry console Mon Aug 31 15:04 still logged in
reboot system boot Mon Aug 31 15:01
reboot system down Mon Aug 31 15:00

svc:/network/ntp:default (Network Time Protocol (NTP))
State: offline since Mon Aug 31 15:02:00 2009
Reason: Start method is running.
    See: http://sun.com/msg/SMF-8000-C4
    See: man -M /usr/share/man -s 1M xntpd
    See: man -M /usr/share/man -s 1M ntpdate
    See: man -M /usr/share/man -s 1M ntpq
    See: /var/svc/log/network-ntp:default.log
Impact: 5 dependent services are not running:
         svc:/milestone/multi-user:default
         svc:/system/intrd:default
         svc:/milestone/multi-user-server:default
         svc:/system/zones:default
         svc:/application/graphical-login/gdm:default

as you can see, the problem is due to ntp, even if the network is present:

as soon as this message appears:
Aug 31 15:08:07 delljm xntpd[654]: [ID 381522 daemon.error] couldn't
resolve `timehost', giving up on it

gdm accepts to start! so, a timeout of more than 5 minutes!

ntp.conf contains:
multicastclient 224.0.1.1
server 0.pool.ntp.org
server 1.pool.ntp.org
server 2.pool.ntp.org
server timehost
