I tried 'set ncpus = 1' and nothing seemed to happen.  After some research I 
found that psradm can set a core off-line with the following:

root at floyd:~# psradm -f -v 1                                                 
   
processor 1 taken off-line.
root at floyd:~# psrinfo -v                                                     
   
Status of virtual processor 0 as of: 10/13/2009 21:22:50
  on-line since 10/13/2009 18:56:23.    
  The i386 processor operates at 2109 MHz,
        and has an i387 compatible floating point processor.
Status of virtual processor 1 as of: 10/13/2009 21:22:50
  off-line since 10/13/2009 21:22:42.
  The i386 processor operates at 2109 MHz,
        and has an i387 compatible floating point processor.


However, when I reboot the machine, it enables both cores again.  How can I 
turn off cpu1 so that it is always off until I turn it back on?
