I am using a Toshiba Portege M400 (3G) which has a 12" screen at 1440x1050 and uses Intel 945 graphics, core2duo 2GHz. I think everything works (including finger print reader) but I have not yet tested the built-in 3G modem. I had some performance issues early on, but it looks like they are all fixed with the latest BIOS (3.5) on this machine. Wifi works, onboard ethernet works. It's a tablet device so has a flip around screen and stylus (and spare stylus) if that's interesting too. > I'd really like all of the hardware to be supported, and I would be > willing to take a small performance hit if I could get a > cooler-running system. It's not too hot actually when running both cores at 1GHz. Sensors say it's 33 degrees C right now and the hdd is 35 degrees. I am running gutsy on it, but have previously had feisty. I have no idea how much it weighs, but it's not too much and the power brick isn't massive. Hope that helps. Cheers, Al.
