| Moving regression tests (tests/bugs) out of the source tree into a separate project in Subversion would also improve this, as well as download time for a fresh tree. We have a task bug on this, currently scheduled for 3.4. Feedback from QA is encouraged :-)

Is there any way to speed this up? The workaround is to manually remember in roughly what subdirectories things are modified to cut down the
search space, which isn't so bad, but
it is nice sometimes to ask for a list of all modifications.
