Not quite -- more like, the doc build works with JDK 1.4.2 and with docbook-xsl unzipped and installed in the right place, and with a special dance of substituting complete path names into the xsl templates with the path to docbook-xsl. Path descriptions on windows are so much of a pain that I stopped short of making the build work there. Pain-rewards ratio was too high. I left the doc build not-working on windows because I spent so much time getting the doc build to work *somewhere*, and once it worked *anywhere*, I stopped.
